Terms and Conditions for all services offered by ‘It’s a Dog’s Life with Murph and Friends’ and ‘Puppy Training North Devon’.

Services Covered

🐾Puppy and dog training
🐾Dog walking
🐾Puppy visits
🐾Cat visits
🐾Pet sitting and home care
🐾Other agreed pet care services
 

Payment

Payment is due in advance unless otherwise agreed.

Regular clients may be invoiced monthly in advance.

Late payments may incur suspension of services until payment is received.

Any additional services requested will be charged at the agreed rate.

Cancellations

Clients should provide at least 48 hours' notice where possible.

Services cancelled with less notice may be charged in full.

If Puppy Training North Devon cancels a service, a replacement appointment or refund will be offered.
 

Veterinary Care and Emergencies

If a pet becomes ill or injured while in my care, I will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner.

If the owner cannot be reached, I am authorised to seek veterinary treatment as deemed necessary.

Veterinary fees remain the responsibility of the owner.

Key Holding

Any keys provided will be kept securely and confidentially.

Keys will not be labelled with identifying information linked to the client's address.

Keys will be returned on request or at the end of services.

Home Access

Clients must provide safe access to their property.

Puppy Training North Devon is not responsible for loss arising from faulty locks, insecure premises, or instructions provided by the client.
 

Aggressive or Dangerous Behaviour

Clients must disclose any history of aggression, biting, reactivity, or behavioural concerns.

Services may be terminated immediately if a pet presents an unacceptable safety risk.

Dog Walking Specific Terms

Dogs must wear a collar or harness with legal identification.

Owners must disclose any medical, behavioural, or social concerns.

Dogs may be walked with other compatible dogs unless otherwise agreed.

Off-lead exercise will only occur with the owner's written consent.

No guarantee can be made that dogs will remain clean during walks—muddy paws are often part of the fun!
 

Pet Sitting and Home Visits

Clients should provide sufficient food, medication, cleaning supplies, and emergency contact details.

Accurate care instructions must be provided before the service begins.

Additional visits required due to incomplete information may incur extra charges.
 

Medication

Medication will be administered according to the owner's written instructions.

While every care will be taken, Puppy Training North Devon cannot be held responsible for complications arising from underlying medical conditions or inaccurate instructions.
 

Training Services

Reward-based, fear-free methods are used.
Owners remain responsible for implementing training recommendations.
Specific behavioural outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Photographs and Social Media

Photos of pets may be taken during services.

Images will only be used for promotional purposes with the owner's consent.

Insurance

I have full insurance including public and employee liability, to include all services mentioned.

 

Force Majeure 

Services may be altered or cancelled due to severe weather, road closures, illness, emergencies, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
